Hi Rebel Soul,
I'm Mandy, a certified Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher, Self-Empowerment & Resilience Coach, and soon-to-be Holistic Therapist currently completing my master's degree in Counselling Psychology. I'm not here to tell you that 'downward-facing dog' is going to solve all your problems or to "just think positive thoughts," and your anxiety will magically dissolve. Because let's be honest, if it were that simple, you would have done it already, and I wouldn't have dedicated over 15 years to living and breathing everything to do Western psychology and Eastern philosophy in a search to deepen my understanding of the intricate connection between our body and mind.
My superpower is helping people energetically align with their soul-oriented purpose by helping them remove any obstacles that dare try to stand in the way of their magic. Spoiler art: it's always self-limiting beliefs and a dysregulated nervous system. It's my life mission to share what I have learned in a way that is accessible, relatable, and digestible without you having to devote the better part of two decades.

How is Somatic Yoga different from 'regular' yoga?While traditional yoga often focuses on external alignment and achieving specific poses, somatic yoga prioritizes exploring and understanding how your body moves from within by bringing awareness to sensations, both in the form of physical sensation and emotional sensation. It's like a journey of self-discovery, using slow, mindful movements to release tension and create a deeper mind-body connection to release what's become stagnant within our body and mind.

I've never done yoga. Will I be able to keep up?Absolutely. The somatic yoga series is beginner friendly and is made to be taken at your own pace. All you need to have is an open heart and a desire to want to explore what naturally comes up for you during practice. And I'm here to offer any support throughout the way.

What if I'm a complete beginner? Is this program right for me?This program is designed for those who are yoga curious, yoga beginners, the arm-balancing, intermediate yogi, and everyone in between. All you need is an open heart and a willingness to move your body in whatever capacity feels good for YOU. We're going back to the basics here. We'll provide a strong foundation and guide you step-by-step through the process.

How much time commitment does this program require?The program requires roughly 2 hours per week spread across activities like live calls, exercises, and community interaction. We understand everyone has busy schedules, so we've designed the program to be efficient and impactful within your time constraints.

Will I have to share personal or triggering information during group calls?You are in the driver's seat when it comes to how much you would like to share in our group calls and 1:1 sessions. I'm here to follow your lead. I always ensure that my clients feel safe in group programs by creating a comfortable environment between myself and my clients as well as between group participants.

What are your qualifications and experience?I am a Senior Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching internationally as well as a certified Reiki Practitioner (levels I & II). I've completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology minoring in Philosophy through the University of Ottawa and am currently completing a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. I have taken countless workshops, seminars, and trainings with a number of respected professionals in the fields of psychology, neuroscience, and spiritual development, including two 10-day silent meditation courses founded on the original teachings of the Buddha. My ultimate passion is the mind/body connection, and my soul-oriented purpose is to share what I have learned over my 15 years of personal + professional development in a way that is digestable, accessible, and relatable to all.

How long will I have access to Anxiety Rebellion?You have life-time access to Anxiety Rebellion. The goal is to watch the replays of our group calls and practice the somatic yoga series whenever you need a reset or to ground into your rebellious self in periods of challenge and upleveling. This is your forever toolkit for creating a(nd maintaining!) a more regulated and empowered version of you.

Do you offer payment plans?Yes. I offer a 2-part payment plan of $222 by the first week of the program and then again at the halfway mark (by week 3). My goal is to make this program as accessible as possible, and if you need a different plan, let's talk about it.
